The project is located in the heart of the new financial district of Milan, near Garibaldi train station and piazza Gae Aulenti.
As such it sits at the intersection of the older, traditional Milan and the new “glass and steel” district that has transformed the city.
Our design tries to capture this unique context as well as acknowledging the prominent corner the building stands on.

Reale mutua invited GaS to a private competition for the remodeling of a mixed use building in the historic district of Torino called “Corte D’Appello”. The building, dating back to the 1800’s, was in a poor condition and required a complete renovation as well as a rationalization of the three functions it housed, namely:
retail on the ground floor, office space in the north wing and residential in the rest. The brief called for studio, one bedroom and 2 bedroom apartments and the client asked for “innovative” residential models.
